Front Range Classifieds, Public Notice The Boulder County Parks and Open Space (BCPOS) Department's weed work group applies herbicides on open space properties as part of its integrated weed management activities. BCPOS weed work group apply herbicides along County Rights-of-Way. For the period of July 6th-July 31st 2015, weather permitting, limited herbicide treatments may occur on the following open space properties: 95th Street Trail, Apple Valley Roadside Park, Armstrong, Bald Mountain, Boulder County Fairgrounds, Boulder County Recycling Center, Rodney Dean Bush, Caribou Ranch, Callahan, Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm, Coalton Trail, Cohig, Cottontail Trial, Dodd Reservoir, Dry Creek Trail, Erin Arsenault, Flagg Park, Hall Ranch, Haselwood, Heil Valley Ranch, Hillside Estates, Imel Trail, Lagerman Reservoir, Legion Park, Lohr MacIntosh Agricultural Heritage Center, LoBo Trail, Mayhoffer, Meadowlark Trail, Meeker Park Community Forestry Sort Yard, Monarch Park, Mud Lake, Mountainview Egg Farm, Nederland Community Forestry Sort Yard, Niwot Trail, Park-n-Ride at Fourmile Canyon, Rabbit Mountain, Sombrero Ranch, Stephenson Nelson, Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat, and Walker Ranch. Herbicides may be applied on County rights-of-way within Boulder County. These treatments are part of the integrated weed management activities administered by BCPOS. Other weed management activities include mechanical treatment (mowing and hand pulling), biological treatments (insects and livestock grazing), and cultural controls (reseeding).
