Hearst Media Services, CITY OF BRIDGEPORT / ADVERTISEMENT MNB706168 - REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING AND CONSULTANT Bridgeport, Connecticut TEN (10) copies of separate, sealed responses to this Request for Qualifications for a qualified consultant to assist various City of Bridgeport departments and agencies will be received by the Department of Public Purchases, 999 Broad Street, Bridgeport, CT 06604 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 and then at said office publicly opened. The intent of the Request for Qualifications is to seek qualified consultants to form an on-call list to assist the City with environmental engineering and consultant services for various City projects. The following is a general description of work included in this Contract: Assistance to various City departments shall include site assessments, hazardous materials testing, reporting, abatement and remediation design, quantity determinations and cost estimates, monitoring and final reporting, indoor air-quality testing, radon testing, site-soil remediation design and the like typically performed by an environmental engineering consultant. Work may include project management and administration, inspections, testing and assessments, analytical laboratory samples analysis, report preparation, contract document preparation, consultations during construction, and monitoring of contractors, etc. The City expects to request proposals from the consultants on the On-Call List for the work of a particular project and will select the proposal that is in the City's best interests in terms of availability, ability to mobilize, completion on schedule, price, and other relevant factors. SELECTION CRITERIA The successful consultant will be selected based on the following criteria: 1. Specialized experience and technical competence - 30% 2. Professional qualifications of staff - 25% 3. Past Performance - 25% 4. Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory approval processes - 15% 5. DAS Prequalification - 5% A selection panel made up of a minimum of (5) persons will be established to review and evaluate all submissions.
