Montgomery Newspapers, NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE ZONING HEARING BOARD, SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON THE FOLLOWING PETITIONS ON MONDAY EVENING, JULY 27, 2015 AT 7:00 PM AT THE TOWNSHIP BUILDING, 1510 PAPER MILL RD., WYNDMOOR, PA: 1. Emily & Kurt Bittner, 73 S. College Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031, T.M.P. #520004303001, are seeking variances from the following code sections: • Sec. 114-74.B(1)(a) to reduce the side yard setback from 8’ to 5.3’ on the east side of the house. • Sec. 114-74.B(1)(a) to reduce the side yard setback from 8’ to 4’ on the west side of the house. • Sec. 114-74.B(1)(a) to reduce the aggregate side yard setback from 20’ to 9.3’. • Sec. 114-74.C to reduce the rear yard setback from 25’ to 11.7’ • Sec. 114-72.C to increase maximum building coverage from 30% to 32.5%. This relief will make it possible to construct a two-story addition to their residence which attaches to an existing masonry garage. This property is located in the “C” residence district. 2. Chandler Signs, LP, 173 San Pedro Ave., Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78232 is petitioning for relief from sec. 114-144.C regarding signage at the Movie Tavern, 1844 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031, T.M.P.# 520001903007. Applicant proposes to increase the area of the main facial sign at the front of the building from 40 sq. ft. to 110.3 sq. ft., and the area of the two secondary facial signs on the building from 20 sq. ft. to 67.7 sq. ft. In addition 9 movie poster displays are proposed at the front of the theatre located in the “Shopping Center” district.
