Abbreviated Public Notice for Medicaid Transformation Waiver Application

NWsource, Public Notice for Medicaid Transformation Waiver Application (Section 1115) The State of Washington Health Care Authority (HCA), working with the Department of Social and Health Services, is seeking Section 1115 Waiver authority to support transformation of its Medicaid program. The Demonstration will focus on three initiatives: Developing investments to transform the delivery system through health systems capacity building, delivery system transformation, and population health improvements. Washingtons emerging Accountable Communities of Health will play a significant role in this initiative. Implementing tiered eligibility for long-term services and supports by creating two new LTSS eligibility and benefit packages, and revising the criteria for nursing facility care. Providing targeted benefits for social supportssupportive housing and supported employment servicesfor individuals who are most in need of these services; criteria for benefit eligibility will be established by the State. The public comment period for the Medicaid Transformation Waiver application is from Friday, July 24 until Sunday, August 23 at 5 p.m. PST.
