Montgomery Newspapers, NOTICE The ABINGTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS will take action on the following Ordinance Amendment at its regularly scheduled meeting on August 13, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., to be held at the Township Building, 1176 Old York Rd., Abington, PA 2nd Floor Board Room and will hold a public hearing on and will consider for adoption, an ordinance amending Chapter 156 (Vehicles and Traffic) at Article III (Parking Regulations) at Section 25 (Parking Prohibited At All Times; No Parking Between Signs; No Parking Here To Corner; Parking Prohibited Except Certain Hours; No Stopping Or Standing). The Ordinance to be considered and acted upon is the following: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 156 – “VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC,” ARTICLE III – “PARKING REGULATIONS” AT SECTION 25 – “PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES; NO PARKING BETWEEN SIGNS; NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER; PARKING PROHIBITED EXCEPT CERTAIN HOURS; NO STOPPING OR STANDING” The proposed Ordinance to be considered and acted upon on August 13, 2015, has been drafted for the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of Abington Township. The proposed Ordinance amends Chapter 156 (Vehicles and Traffic) at Article III (Parking Regulations) at Section 25 (Parking Prohibited At All Times; No Parking Between Signs; No Parking Here To Corner; Parking Prohibited Except Certain Hours; No Stopping or Standing) to add parking restrictions on Acorn Lane at Edge Hill Road, on Lycoming Avenue at Moreland Road, and Senak Road at Fitzwatertown Road, as more specifically outlined in the proposed Ordinance.
