The Mercury, ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NEW HANOVER TOWNSHIP GILBERTSVILLE, PA The Township of New Hanover is soliciting bids for HVAC Equipment Relocation at the township building located at 2943 N. Charlotte St., Gilbertsville, PA. Bids will be presented at the public meeting of New Hanover Township, Montgomery County to be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 beginning at 6:30 pm. Bids will be received at the office of New Hanover Township, 2943 N. Charlotte Street, Gilbertsville, PA 19525, until 4:00 PM on August 17, 2015. Bids should be mailed or hand delivered. The bid shall be addressed to Mr. Kevin Tobias - Township Manager. The contract shall be a single prime contract. All bidders desiring to submit a bid shall register with the engineer via email @ mjordan@ivdinc.com, including company name, contact name, email, and phone number. Bid packages shall be electronically transmitted upon receipt of requested information. All contracts shall be performed in accordance with Executive Order 11246, “Equal Employment Opportunity”, amended per Executive Order #11375, and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). Documents, naming as payee or oblige, New Hanover Township, in the amount of 10% of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Township. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish a “Performance Bond”, “Maintenance Bond, and “Payment Bond”, will also be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Contract Documents. The wages on the project will be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, along with latest amendments and supplements. The Township of New Hanover and the Engineer and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the Bid due date and time. Any bid received after the due date and time shall not be considered. The award of the Contract and the issuance of Notice to Proceed shall be contingent upon the Maintenance Bond, Agreement, and Insurances of Certificate.
