Times-Standard, PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF HUMBOLDT AND PRE-ADOPTION SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE On Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing in the Board of Supervisors' Chamber, Humboldt County Courthouse, 825 Fifth Street, Eureka, California, to consider the matter listed below, including the adoption of a proposed Ordinance that reclassifies lands in the Blocksburg area consisting of APNs 210-174-004, 210-174-005, 217-211-004, 217-211-009, from Agriculture Exclusive with a 160 acre minimum parcel size (AE-B-5(160)) to Timberland Production Zone (TPZ). A certified copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance is available in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 111, 825 Fifth Street, Eureka, California. The area described is shown on the Humboldt County Zoning Maps (Official Zoning Map V-39) and the map attached as Exhibit A to the certified copy. The new zone will become effective thirty (30) days after the date of adoption. Steve Childs, Blocksburg area. Case Numbers ZR-14-003, AGPN-14-007 (filed August 22, 2014); Assessor Parcel Numbers (APNs) 210-174-004, 210-174-005, 217-211-004, 217-211-009. An application to rezone approximately 206 acres of Agriculture Exclusive and Agriculture Exclusive with a Building Site combining zone specifying a minimum parcel size of 160 acres [AE-B5(160)] to Timber Production Zone (TPZ). The application includes the dis-establishment and immediate cancellation of an approximately 550 acre portion of the existing Tooby and Prior Class B agricultural preserve. The project is located in Humboldt County, in the Blocksburg area, on both sides of unnamed road (continuation of Church Street), approximately 7 miles north from the intersection of Alderpoint Road and Church Street, on the property located in Section 28, 33 & 34 Township 01 South Range 05 East. The Humboldt County Planning Commission, at its regular meeting of April 2, 2015, adopted Resolution Number 15-10 recommending that the Board of Supervisors approve the project. The project is located in Humboldt County, in the Blocksburg area, on both sides of unnamed road (continuation of Church Street), approximately 7 miles north from the intersection of Alderpoint Road and Church Street, on the property located in Section 28, 33 & 34 Township 01 South Range 05 East. Any person may appear and present testimony in regard to this matter at the hearing. If you challenge the nature of the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Board of Supervisors, at, or prior to, the public hearing. Documentation to be filed on this matter for the official record MUST CONTAIN AN ORIGINAL AND NINE (9) COPIES OF EACH DOCUMENT. Documentation includes, but is not limited to: written correspondence, audio and video tapes, maps, photographs, and petitions. If possible, all documentation is to be submitted to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 111 of the County Courthouse, 825 Fifth Street in Eureka, (476-2384), by noon on Monday, August 24, 2015, for the documents to be placed in the Board's hearing packets. Otherwise, documents must be submitted during the public hearing on September 1, 2015.
