The Reporter, LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE is hereby given that on August 19, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the North Penn Education Service Center, 401 East Hancock Street, Lansdale Pennsylvania 19446, Borough Council of the Borough of Lansdale will consider adoption of an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF LANSDALE, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE LANSDALE BOROUGH CODE RELATING TO THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION TO CREATE THE CIVIL SERVICE RANK OF LIEUTENANT AND CHANGE THE WEIGHTING OF THE WRITTEN AND ORAL PORTIONS OF THE SERGEANT’S EXAM; REPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND CONTAINING AN EFFECTIVE DATE The proposed ordinance amends Chapter 7 of the Lansdale Borough Code relating to the Civil Service Commission to create the Civil Service rank of Lieutenant and to provide for the eligibility and procedural requirements for appointment to such rank within the Police Department; amends the weighting of the oral and written examination of the Sergeant’s examination to be 50% each; provides a repealer and severability clause as well as an effective date.
