Times Union, Legal Notification: The City of Albany Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 5:45 p.m. in the Common Council Chamber on the following cases/requests: Special Use Permit at 619-621 N. Pearl St. to allow a grocery store. Interpretation at 233 Second Ave. to determine if the proposed hair salon qualifies as a home occupation. Area Variance at 11 N. Ferry St. to allow for relocation of a legally nonconforming off-premises sign to be increased in height to +/- 85 feet. Area Variances and Parking Lot Permit at 46-54 Colonie St. to allow for construction of a +/- 95-space parking lot Special Use Permit at 138 Washington Ave. to allow an existing restaurant to be expanded. Special Use Permit at 447 State St. to allow for conversion to a two (2)-family dwelling. Special Use Permit at 287 New Scotland Ave. to allow a restaurant serving alcohol.
