Times-Standard, PUBLIC NOTICE HUMBOLDT COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the Humboldt County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Board of Supervisors' Chamber, Humboldt County Courthouse, Eureka, California, to consider the matter listed below. A General Plan Amendment, Zone Reclassification and General Plan Conformance Review application, Case Nos. GPA-14-003, ZR-14-011, GPC-15-001; KNEELAND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, applicant; File No. APN 404-131-008-000; Kneeland area. A General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification to facilitate a conveyance of an approximately 1.67 acre parcel to the Kneeland Fire Protection District. The current Timber (T) land use designation and Timber Production Zone (TPZ) zone classification will change to Public Facilities (PF) and Agriculture General with a B-6 building site combining zone (AG-B-6), respectively on the 1.67 acres. The Board of Supervisors accepted a General Plan Petition at their meeting on June 17, 2014 allowing submittal of this application. The parcel to be conveyed to Kneeland Fire Protection District will be served by on-site water (spring) and an on-site wastewater treatment system. Also included is a General Plan Conformance Review for the property conveyance pursuant to Government Code Section 65402 and Humboldt County Framework General Plan Policy 4920.1. NOTE: The Humboldt County Planning Commission will consider the General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification applications and make a recommendation to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors. The project site is located in the Kneeland area, on the west side of Greenwood Heights Drive, approximately ¾ mile from the intersection of Greenwood Heights Drive and Kneeland Road, on the property known as 6201 Greenwood Heights Drive. Any person may appear and present testimony in regard to these matters at these hearings. The Planning Commission needs ONE ORIGINAL AND 14 COPIES of any materials submitted either prior to or at the meeting. The Planning Commission's decision will become effective if an appeal is not filed within the appropriate filing period. An appeal may be filed by any aggrieved person and must be submitted in writing with the required fees to the Planning Division of the Humboldt County Community Development Services before the end of the appeal period. If appealed, the decision will not become effective until the appeal is resolved. If you challenge the nature of the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission, at, or prior to, the public hearing.
