Pioneer Press - Twin Cities, METROPOLITAN COUNCIL NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD Draft 2016-19 Transportation Improvement Program For the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area The Metropolitan Council's Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) is receiving public comment on the Draft 2016-19 Transportation Improvement Program. The program includes highway, transit, bikeway, and pedestrian improvements, and air quality projects, that are proposed for federal funding in the Twin Cities metropolitan area in the next four years. The Draft Transportation Improvement Program includes projects selected through the regional solicitation process for construction in years 2017-19. It also includes six projects, slated for implementation in 2016 and 2019, to be funded with returned funds from other projects, and 25 projects funded by the Highway Safety Improvement Program.
