Woodland Daily Democrat, PUBLIC NOTICE KNIGHTS LANDING RIDGE DRAINAGE DISTRICT YOLO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA KSN Job No. 2267-0010 Sealed proposals will be received at the West Sacramento office of Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc., 1355 Halyard Drive Suite 100, West Sacramento, CA 95691, until 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for: Knights Landing Outfall Gate, Fish Screen Installation Project along the Sacramento River Flood Control Project in Yolo County to perform the following work: The project consists of constructing a fish barrier on the downstream side of the existing Outfall Gate structure. Construction activities include: canal dewatering, concrete demolition, access facility fabrication and relocation, concrete wall construction, fish screen fabrication and installation, electric cable drum hoist installations, hoist system electrical control installation and implementation. Bidders should note that the District is separately purchasing some of the material that will be utilized by Contractor to construct the Project. The bid form and "Exhibit A" on page 00410-7 of the Contract Documents provide the details of the precise materials that the District is separately providing to the Contractor. No bid will be accepted unless it is made on the bid forms furnished by the Reclamation District No. 108 Engineer. Fax or e-mailed bids will not be considered or accepted and will be grounds for rejection. Bidder's Security must be equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid is required. Insurance companies supplying sureties or bonds shall be licensed to supply such instruments within the State of California, shall be listed by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, and shall have a minimum A.M. Best rating of A and have a good ability to meet their ongoing obligations to policy holders. Contractors and Subcontractors shall be properly licensed in the State of California as a Contractor and regularly engaged in the type of work specified. The Contractor shall possess a valid California Class "A" Contractor's License (Bus & Prof Code §7028.15). All bids are to be compared on the basis of the District Engineer's estimate of the quantities of work to be done. Knights Landing Ridge Drainage District, reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids. Bid award will be made on the basis of a single schedule. The award, if made, will be to the lowest single responsive and responsible bidder. In accordance with the provisions of Sections 1770 to 1781 of the California Labor Code, the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations has ascertained the general prevailing wage rates are applicable to work being performed on this project. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All contractors and subcontractors who bid or work on a public works project must register and pay an annual fee to DIR. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
